Greens and Blues were the theme
This is 100% wool sock yarn called Melody from Jojoland. This was a new yarn to me with color gradiations similar to trekking where there are two plies of different colors that slowly change to another color causing subtle striping. I bought these two colorways for socks.
Yesterday I showed micro fiber ribbon from Tess Designer yarns. Here is a picture without the flash -- the colors are somewhere in between the two. I will be using there to make a couple of sleeveless (or short sleeve) tops to wear under a jacket for work.
The second picture was Caravan from Just our Yarn. It is 65% wool and 35% camel down. I bought all they had (which was 900 yards of sport weight). I am not sure what I will do with it. Here is a close up of the color with and without flash. It has been so cloudy it is hard to take a decent picture.
The last yarn yesterday was Blue Moon's Socks that Rock lightweight in County Clare. I have been wanting that one since they put it in the banner on the website. I also bought a few skeins of heavy weight that I needed for the log cabin blanket.
Update tomorrow on my weekend workshop with Kathryn Alexander.
