We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential. ~Ellen Goodman
So the calendar has turned over another page. It is a good time for reflection, introspection, and goal setting. I didn't finish so many knits this year and most of them seem to be gifts -- it seems that I must have deadlines to push the hand and get the seaming done. I enter this year feeling positive -- I feel it is going to be a good year not for any particular reason but just a good feeling. So without further ado --
7 knitterly goals for 2007
- get that seaming finished up as mentioned on the 28th
- get back to some of those projects "on the needles"
- organize the stash and get it put away and not in piles and boxes all over the house
- finish the log cabin blanket
- knit and finish things for me
- learn to knit fair isle two handed
- put some of my design ideas into practice
7 non-knitterly goals
- continue to find and introduce more local foods into my kitchen
- entertain more
- start taking violin lessons again
- get back into the exercise habit
- try my hand at more canning and preserving this summer
- take some action on [something I have been talking about for a while but haven't done much about]
- write more letters
Wishing everyone a wonderful 2007!
Happy 2007!
Nice set of goals. I'll be watching you... ;D

Happy 2007! Looks like you enjoyed your walk through the rooms of your life.
Violin lessons? Where? Do you know anyone who teaches fiddle and not classical violin in the area? I played through college and occasionally since, but have not even opened my violin case since we moved.

Wow, cryptic number 6 on the non-kniterly.
As for summer canning, I hope we can work together a little, split some of the burden. I am very excited, we've finally started eating the peaches I did this past summer, and it's like feeding my children little spoonfuls of sunshine.

We're also hoping to do some canning and other preserving this summer. I keep getting told that it's not that hard, but it seems awfully intimidating. Maybe if there's a bunch of us working on it, it won't seem so scary. :)
