Tigger was hit by a car last night and didn't make it. I would love to write a lovely tribute here but I it will have to wait until I can stop crying. I can't stop blaming myself.

Oh Jasmine, I am so, so sorry.
You can't blame yourself... accidents happen. It's awful this had to happen to you. You'll be in my thoughts.

Oh I am so sorry! Unfortunately this kind of thing happens a lot, so please do not be too hard on yourself. I know that's a hard thing to do. Our dog was hit a few years ago. The latch on her leash had froze open and I had not realized it until she got away from me. Then it was too late.

As Erin and Liz said, accidents happen and we can only protect our little ones so much.

Poor sweetie! Everyone at our house - human and furry - will say prayers for sweet Tigger and for you and your family.
Please try not to beat yourself up too much, though I know that is easier said than done.

I'm sorry he's gone. Please don't be to harsh on yourself, but be thankful for the years you had together, and grieve his passing with the fond memories.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry, Jas. I hope you're feeling better.
I know you know this wasn't your fault. He knows it too.
I'm sending you a big hug.

Jasmine, I am so, so sorry! Tigger looks just like our Mr. Cairo, and my heart goes out to you. xx

Jasmine, you're not crying alone. I teared right up as soon as I saw your post. We love them so much, and no matter how they leave us, it's always too soon. Accidents happen and he left knowing how much you loved him. Be gentle with yourself now and know how much all your friends out here in the blogosphere share your loss and send you hugs.

Oh! She was lovely! I'm so sorry. She looks very much like our dog Janet Planet, also passed on. You can't control everything - please don't be hard on yourself. We were lucky that Janet was never hit because she often got away from us.

I'm sorry to hear of your Tigger's accident. These things do happen, despite our best intentions. Our dog broke from his chain...twice. Surgery, stitches, cast and lots of TLC helped him after the first time, but not the second. I'm certain Tigger's life was full, happy, healthy and well-loved while with you.

I'm so Sorry, I don't know what to say. I know you'll miss him very much, I stand ready to do whatever I can in your time of sadness.
Love,
Sis

Oh, dear, I am behind on my bloglines! I am so sorry to hear about Tigger and am only happy that I got to meet her. She was a darling dog and the first one to ever continually try to sit on my feet. The vertical leap was something to see.
Take care of yourself. This is a terrible loss.

I haven't checked in on you in a while. I'm so sorry for your loss, I wish I knew just the right words but I'm afraid I don't. Take care of yourself and as others have said, be gentle with yourself. Much love!
